TOUR DESCRIPTION:

Day 1

A scenic drive around the largest lake in Costa Rica will take you to lovely mountains and colorful countryside at the bottom of the active Arenal Volcano.

Lunch will be served on the way to the volcano at a beautiful setting on the majestic lake Arenal.

Feel part of the jungle walking through the rain forest at El Silencio Private Reserve at the base of the Arenal volcano and enjoy one of the best areas to see animals like: monkeys, toucans, coatis and more wildlife, and to observe the volcano from an excellent look-out at the end of El Silencio trail.

This day will be crowned by a visit to thermal mineral hot springs.  This volcanic waters are famous for it's therapeutic properties to treat arthritis, obesity, skin allergies and stress.  A delicious dinner will be served after the visit to the thermal hot springs.  Overnight at a hotel at the bottom of Arenal Volcano.

 Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Get to know all the secrets of the cloud forest while you walk through palms, ferns, flowers and ancient trees covered by thousands of plants on the hanging bridges at Selvatura Private Reserve.

At the end of the trail look at wonderful species of hummingbirds and the bright colors on their fast moving bodies at the hummingbird gallery.

After lunch at Selvature Restaurant, enjoy a relaxing walk through the Selvatura butterfly garden and admire beautiful butterflies flying around you and the amazing colors on their wings.
