The old saying is, "Ninety percent of the fish are caught in ten percent of the water." If you can locate that secret ten percent, you can have a fantastic day. Costa Rica is that little known secret. Our knowledgeable Captains and Mates also help increase your success.

The Sanctuary partners with the White Magic fishing experts and uses a world-class, 36 ft Mirage with twin diesel engines, equipped with a full-size head and fully capable of offshore fishing.

Bill fish are the main attraction and the ancient lava flows have created underwater boulders and reefs that are alive with Snappers, Groupers, Jacks and Rooster Fish. You'll also fish for Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Rooster Fish, Pargo and Squid.

Cost: $495/half day and $742.50/full day, maximum 4 persons.

Beer, sodas, bottled water, fruit and snacks are included and on full days, lunch as well. The fishing day starts at 7:30 am.

Fishing licenses @ $25 per person, valid for one year, may be bought on the beach in the morning as required by law. (cash colones or dollars only).

Half days are 5 hours and fished inshore, full days are 9 hours and combined inshore/offshore. If you'd like to catch sailfish or marlin, we recommend doing a full day.
